Strong Fundamentals, Fearful Tape — Here's When the Semiconductor Selling Might Actually Stop Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/TradingApologist Follow me on X: https://x.com/TradeApologist Trading Resources: https://www.tradingapologist.com TradingView Indicators: https://www.tradingview.com/u/TradingApologist/#published-scripts Fundamentals delivered across the board this week. TSMC raised full-year revenue guidance by roughly $6 billion on accelerating AI demand. Broadcom guided for $10.7 billion in Q2 AI semiconductor revenue with a reaffirmed path to $100 billion-plus by 2027. PPI fell 0.3% in June, the first decline since last August, paired with Tuesday's CPI print pointing clearly toward disinflation. Morgan Stanley, BlackRock, and Intuitive Surgical all beat. The tape is not accepting any of it. The pressure is coming from two specific places. The Bank of Korea hiked 25 basis points to 2.75% yesterday, its first hike in three and a half years, landing on a market already working through 1.2 million margin calls. The KOSPI fell more than 6% and extended its drawdown past 20% from the June record into a technical bear market. This is leverage and forced selling, not a demand break. Then Nvidia introduced Jetson Thor modules that deliver similar AI performance at roughly a quarter of the memory footprint, openly designing around high memory prices — and you can see why that lands hard on MU and SNDK. The story right now is fundamentals disconnecting from price action, and imbalances like that eventually resolve. The question is not whether to get back in, it is when and at what levels. In today's Daily Market Recap we work through the full sector rotation picture, the key support levels across the semiconductor complex, including MU, SNDK, LITE, SIVE, SOI, AAOI, ALAB, and MRVL, the earnings reactions from TSM, ASML, AEHR, ISRG, and NFLX, and the watchlist names showing relative strength in a difficult tape.
