TSLA Lost $140B and GOOGL Had Its Worst Day in 14 Months — Is There More Downside Ahead? Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/TradingApologist Follow me on X: https://x.com/TradeApologist Trading Resources: https://www.tradingapologist.com TradingView Indicators: https://www.tradingview.com/u/TradingApologist/#published-scripts Two of the heaviest earnings days of the season delivered genuinely strong numbers, and the market sold almost all of it. Alphabet beat everything — Cloud came in roughly $2B above forecasts, growing at 82%, with a signed contract backlog of $514B — and still had its worst day in 14 months, down over 7%. TSLA dropped 14.5%, erasing about $140B in market value on record deliveries and a revenue beat. Texas Instruments beat and raised and fell 3%. Intel printed its strongest revenue growth in more than fifteen years and faded nearly its entire 13% pop. The pattern is clear: the market is no longer paying for demand. It is auditing how every company funds the buildout. The driver most people are not talking about is rates. Treasury yields are breaking out across the entire curve, with the 2-year at 4.35% pointing toward 4.8%, the 10-year at 4.7%, and the 30-year at 5.17% attempting the same breakout that failed in May. Rising yields shrink the present value of future profits, and the further out those profits sit, the harder the hit. That is exactly the profile of the names getting punished hardest. In today's Daily Market Recap we work through the rotation picture, key levels across the indices, and the charts driving the story, and cover what would need to happen for the pressure valve to release and the growth trade to get its bid back.
